Your company produces thousands of documents a year. Reports, invoices, contracts, spreadsheets, scanned forms — each one full of answers someone will eventually need. But when that moment comes, the best most teams can do is open a file and start scrolling.
It's not that people aren't trying. It's that the tools haven't kept up. Finding one number still means digging through a hundred pages. Comparing two documents still means putting them side by side and eyeballing it. The information is right there — it just won't talk back.
That's the gap ParseSphere was built to close.
We saw teams spending hours — sometimes days — doing work that should take seconds. Not because the answers were complex, but because their documents and their tools lived in completely different worlds.
The ability to read, search, and reason across files existed. It just hadn't been brought together in a way that worked for real teams, doing real work, under real deadlines. We decided that needed to change.
What we believe
The knowledge inside your documents already belongs to you — you just shouldn't need a data team to access it.
Every answer should show its work. If you can't see where a number came from — the exact source, the exact reasoning — then it's not an answer. It's a guess. And businesses don't run on guesses.
A contract references a spreadsheet. A receipt validates an invoice. Your tools should see the connections the same way you do.
So we built ParseSphere
A single workspace where you upload the files a business actually runs on — PDFs, spreadsheets, Word and PowerPoint, JPEG and PNG scans, plain text and logs — and ask questions in plain English. Intelligent document processing built for business teams, not data engineers. The kind of tool we wished existed when we started.
Answers carry their sources: the passage behind each claim, and the read-only SQL behind each number. Not every sentence gets one — on our own evaluation set about three in four factual sentences carry a source, and the ones that don't are underlined in the answer rather than left to blend in. When someone asks "where did this number come from," the citation is already sitting next to it.
Where this is going
We see a world where no team has to take an answer about its own documents on trust. Where every claim arrives with the passage it came from, and the ones that don't are marked as such. That's the layer we're building: between your organization's documents and the decisions they inform.
